I know Spring Cleaning is a thing, however, have you been finding yourself Covid Cleaning? Everyone being stuck inside for so long looking for things to do has led to cleaning out closets.

There are many places to recycling your gently used clothing and shoes. Depending on the drop off location, they may want other household items like sheets and blankets too.

These drop off bins work as a fundraiser for community organization to earn money to support their programs. The clothing and other items are dropped in the bin, then the company picks it up. It is sorted and sold to thrift stores, textile recyclers, and overseas for use in other countries.

Prospect Child and Family Center – Blue Bins

Located in Queensbury NY, Prospect Child and Family Center is a local organization who works with people with disabilities and their families. They collect donations to help support their programs and community outreach.

The main location I have found is near the Hannaford and Kohls Plaza in Wilton. 68 Weibel Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in the parking lot for Cote Insurance Company. I know I’ve seen more around the area, so I will update as I go.
