When visiting Downtown Saratoga Springs, you will need to use one of the many public bathrooms. It happens to everyone. You are shopping, eating, hanging out, listening to a band, and you have gotta go. With all the great places to hang out in Downtown Saratoga Springs, you can bet that there are people who need to find a bathroom!
So the question is, where do you go, when you gotta go, in Saratoga Springs? I have jotted down a list of all the places that have a bathroom in the downtown area. Some are public, some are inside a business, take that information as you will. Some people feel that it is polite to buy some sort of item at a place if you go in to use the bathroom. Some places are so busy, I swear they would never notice. Some places I have patronized over and over without ever using their bathroom, so I feel that I have earned the use of their toilet.

So I went on a search. A toilet travel. A look for loos. A scavenge for stalls. A place to potty…

Guilt Free Public Bathrooms in Downtown Saratoga:
Saratoga Heritage Area Visitor Center Public Bathroom
297 Broadway
Mon-Sat 9-6 & Sun 10-3
The Visitor Center is right on the corner of Broadway and Congress. To get to the public bathroom, walk in the front door and turn left towards the hallway, then turn right and you will see the bathrooms. While you are there, feel free to grab some brochures or ask the super, helpful folks who work there!
Library Public Bathroom
49 Henry Street
M – Th:9 – 9, Fri: 9 – 6
Sat: 9 – 5, Sun: Noon – 5
If you’re coming from Putnam and walking up the ramp, walk into the library and immediately turn right. The bathrooms are down the hall on the right-hand side.
If you are walking in from Henry Street, go straight past the information desk and turn left down the hall. Bathrooms are on your right.
The Bread Basket Bakery is down that hall too, if you need to replenish. They have lots of good stuff to eat and drink.
Down 1 level is the kids section with a bathroom to the right of the information desk, past the DVDs. Be careful, the potty all the way to the left is really small!
Throughout the library are plenty of comfy chairs if you need to rest a bit.
Saratoga Arts Public Bathroom
320 Broadway
Open until Sunset
The Saratoga Arts building is located on the corner of Broadway and Spring Street. If you walk down Spring Street, the Public Restrooms are on your right, at the end of the building. There are signs pointing the way. This public bathroom is on the outside edge of Congress Park and still close to Broadway.
The Restroom area is separate from the Saratoga Arts building with a completely different entrance. You do not have to enter the Saratoga Arts building if you only need to use the bathroom. The bathrooms are just through the door and to the left. HOWEVER, they close early. Every time I go to use this bathroom, it is closed.
Saratoga Farmers Market (May-October)
Public Bathroom
High Rock Park Pavilions
105 High Rock Avenue
Look for the green shed in between the pavilions. Right behind the shed is a small brick building which is the public bathroom.
Businesses that probably won’t notice when you sneak in to use the bathroom:
Uncommon Grounds Coffee Shop Bathroom
402 Broadway
Walk in the front door and head straight back to the bathrooms. The coffee line and checkout are to the left. They have goodies to eat and many drinks to choose from. There are lots of tables and chairs and even free WiFi. You may stop in to just use the bathroom and discover it’s a great place to hang out.
Wendy’s Bathroom
24 Congress Street
If you go in the doors on the west side of the building, just turn right and the bathrooms are at the end of the dining room.
McDonalds Bathroom
197 Broadway
I have not been inside this McDonalds, only in the drive-thru. But with all McDonalds, it’s pretty easy to find the bathrooms.
Stewarts Bathroom
30 Church Street
This Stewarts is on Church Street, 1 block East of Broadway, near the Criterion Cinemas movie theater. When you walk in, go towards the back, to the right of the registers to locate the 2 bathrooms, neither is gender specific so use whichever is available.
Stewarts Bathroom
521 Broadway
The other Stewarts is at the north end of Broadway across from the City Center building. Walk in turn right, he bathroom around the side of the counter.
Saratoga City Hall Public Bathroom
474 Broadway
This is a cool old building which houses all sorts of the city’s important people. The bathrooms are old but work great, are pretty easy to find, and you don’t feel that you have to buy anything to use them!
If I find more I will update the list. Have you found any more public or private bathrooms that are easy to use? Do you have directions to the bathrooms inside? Let us know in the comments!
Thanks for reading! I hope this helps! :o)
