Best Place to Return Cans and Bottles in Saratoga Springs

Redeemable bottles and cans help landfills just store garbage.

It is important to return cans and bottles because it is a great way to keep them out of the landfills. And it helps that we can make a little money too. If you are like us, you wait to return your bottles until you have 12 garbage bags full taking up all the space in the garage.

So where do can you take all those bags bottles to return in the Saratoga Area?

5 More Places to Find Pokemon in Areas Surrounding Saratoga Springs

There are Pokemon spawning in areas around Saratoga Springs, NY. Don’t just stick to the downtown Saratoga area, head out to towns outside of Saratoga Springs.

Pokemon Go was intended to get people out and walking. And another benefit of the super active game is to get out exploring areas you may have never been to before. It’s exciting to drive to a place known for awesome or rare Pokemon.

Here are some places you may not have tried yet, but cool Pokemon show up there often.

Saratoga Spa State Park

If you are looking for Bulbasaurs and Machops, get yourself to the Saratoga Spa State Park. Bulbasaurs are spawning all over including the entrance off South Broadway. Multiple Machops can be caught in the parking lot for the Gideon Putnam Hotel and the drop off circle in front of the hotel. (Don’t linger though, as I’m not sure how happy the hotel is with Poke Trainers hanging out in front of their hotel). Keep wandering the park because Bulbasaurs have been spawning behind the Automobile Museum and you can catch them while just driving and walking around the park.

Ballston Spa

Head to Ballston Spa and be sure to drive down Front Street. There are 3 Pokestops close together near Milton Ave and Front Street. Be sure to drive all the way to the end of Front Street to the little building that houses a spring. There are 2 Pokestops, one is a walking trail and the other is the Old Iron Spring. Especially when Lured, Magicarps, Polywags, Goldeens and Starus have been caught while walking around the area. While you are there, check out the Gym at the Saratoga County Historical Museum, team ownership changes frequently.

Wilton Place Plaza

There is a great Pokemon spawning place on Route 50 in Wilton, just outside Saratoga Springs. Wilton Place Plaza is home to Chipolte, Hattie’s Chicken Shack, Five Guys, AT&T, Sports Clips, Aspen Dental, and more. As you pull in you will see a road that connects this plaza with the Market 32 plaza. As you pull into the Market 32 parking lot you will see some cool Pokemon. Tauros, Meowth, Ghastly, and even Squirtle have been caught there. This isn’t a good place for walking because it is a parking lot, so please be careful.

Saratoga Lake

Dratini and Dragonair were caught right on Route 9p, which runs alongside Saratoga Lake. Not only is it a scenic drive along the water, but some interesting Pokemon spawn there too. Drive slowly as the road is curvy, but you never know what Pokemon you may find.

Lake George

There are plenty of souvenir shops and mini-golf places in Lake George. Did you know that Magicarps hang out in Lake George too? As you walk around the main street area make sure you head down Beach Road. It runs between the lake and Fort William Henry. Magicarps, Horseas, Goldeens and other water type Pokemon can be found. And while you are there, be sure to check out the supernatural Mystery Spot in Lake George right near the Visitors Center.
